Mr. & Mrs. Lil Wyte - Album out Now!!

New Music & Entertainment magazine is on the way!!

Article By: Trae Dawn

Southern Rap is making it's way back.

Although it's been around for a while, many aren't aware of how Southern Rap emerged and how it's making its way back into the mainstream.

One artist that has been a known influence is, Tennessee's own, Lil Wyte.

Whether you know Lil Wyte from Three Six Mafia or just from his stand-out style; you can definitely agree his flow is like none other.

Raised in Frayser, Wyte always loved music. At the age of twelve, he heard a Triple Six Album and was hooked.

At the age of 16, he was already in a group of his own. Although young, he knew what he had to do to make a name for himself. With the help of his father, he was able to make his demo cassette tapes, and it was history after that.

After pushing his demo around his city and school, he eventually landed a meeting with Three Six Mafia's DJ Paul and Juicy J.

They must have liked the complexity of his quick rhyming style because he was signed as a solo artist. His first album, "Doubt Me Now" was released in 2003. The album featured artists such as; JuvenileThree 6 MafiaFrayser Boy, and La Chat.

Since then, Wyte has continued to release albums and mixtapes. Currently, he is working on a self-titled album “Lil Wyte”. He says it's, "straight flame".

"All the beats, the production, recording, and mixing done in-house by Andrew Saino; literally in our home studio", Wyte told me.

So what else is new with him? Well, as you may or may not know, Lil Wyte is recently married, and the two seem to be a perfect match!

I had the chance to talk to his wife, Nicole, and she is beautiful, intelligent, and definitely her husband's number one fan.

So, how did the two meet??

Nicole and Wyte had known each other for over 8 years before going on an actual date, according to Lil Wyte. Nicole was his regular bartender at a local bar in Memphis. He told me that she had turned him down over three different times before finally agreeing to go out for sushi in 2015.

They had been dating for three years before Lil Wyte proposed in December of 2017.

With no reluctance, Nicole said YES!! Of course, she said yes, because as she told me, she loves everything about him and he says the same. They are definitely beautiful together. #couplegoals

Being the inquisitive person that I am, I had to ask Nicole what her favorite song by her husband is; there's a lot to choose from, so I really wanted to know!
She said it's definitely one of his songs off of his new album. The song, "Keep Rollin", is definitely her favorite, although it was hard to pick just one. Once the world hears it, she says, they will know why it's her favorite.

This Year...
In 2018 they became husband and wife and they couldn't be happier. When I asked them what their secret is they both had one simple answer- " There is no Secret." The key to a happy relationship is-  communication. They tell each other everything and talk TO each other, and not AT each other. Wyte says,"We both have walked through sh*t to smell the roses. Sometimes you actually find your soulmate."

They say the best advice they can give to other couples is to keep your business off of social media. I couldn't agree more! Once you involve the world in your business it seems like it's nothing but trouble.

Keep your eyes open for Lil Wyte's new album coming soon. And you never know what else this husband and wife team is going to come out with, so be on the lookout, they are a force to be reckoned with!

Thank you Lil Wyte and Nicole for taking the time to talk with me!
